About Us
Behind the Archival Survival name is more than 16 years of combined experience in collection preservation and provision of archival materials to Museums, Galleries, Libraries and Archives across Australia.
The principals of Archival Survival, Angela Henricksen and Geoff McIntyre, both have extensive knowledge and experience in providing archival materials for housing permanent collections.
Angela holds tertiary qualifications in Archives & Records Management and for more than 6 years has provided advice on general preservation issues and storage products suitable for a wide variety of records and objects, and has also presented workshops and on-site consultancies for collection preservation. Angela also has a further 10 years experience working in business and education archives, including Australia’s largest retail archive. Managing mixed collections of archival records, museum objects and artworks, her work has involved responsibility for the preservation of collections, commissioning of conservation treatments, and hands-on basic conservation practices in addition to general archives management.
Geoff has a comprehensive background in both sourcing and manufacturing the highest quality archival raw materials from around the world. Using these quality materials and his extensive experience in product design and manufacture, Geoff has been responsible for producing a broad range of practical and cost-effective archival storage products that now house many of the permanent collections throughout Australia.
